Field Practical Guide - Spring Clean Up

Personal Protection Equipment required:
 
● Ear Plugs
● Safety Glasses
● Gloves
● Work Boots 

Equipment & Tools needed:
● Backpack Blower
● Leaf Rake
● Edging Shovel
● Bed Edger
● Hedge Shears
● Lopping Shears
● Hand Pruners
● Tarp

Materials needed:  
● Not Applicable

Pre-Training Session Preparation:

● Select location for training.
● Schedule training session with student(s).
● Make sure everyone participating has the Personal Protection Equipment.
● Collect and have ready the needed equipment and materials. 

Step 1: Demonstrate 
● Cutting back of perennials and ornamental grasses.
● Cleaning of garden beds.
● Edging of garden beds.
● Removal of any excess soil build up.

Step 2: Observe:
● Have the student demonstrate proper use of the equipment back to you.

Step 3: Re-Demonstrate:
● Point out what the student did correctly.
● Demonstrate what the student should improve upon.
