Pre-Training Session Preparation:

●  Select location for training.
● Schedule training session with student(s).
● Make sure everyone participating has the Personal Protection Equipment. 

Step 1: Demonstrate 
●  Point out utility markings and overhead utilities.
● Discuss acceptable digging methods near the markings.
● Discuss how to avoid overhead utilities.

Step 2: Observe:
●Have student repeat back best safety practices regarding utilities.

Step 3: Re-Demonstrate:
● Point out what the student said correctly.
● Discuss what the student should improve upon.
